CONFIRMATION PREPARATION PROGRAM
The Sacrament of Confirmation is a celebration of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, who is already very present in your lives. Confirmation is the perfection of baptismal grace within us.

Registration for 2025-2026 is CLOSED:
Registration for the 2026-2027 programs will open in summer, 2026.
Full schedules will be out prior to registration opening, along with complete program details. Both Fall and Spring Sessions will have the same number of classes, sponsor & parents meetings, and retreats offered.
Registration will be through an online registration form. In addition to the registration form, the following are necessary for the Sacrament:
- Completed Sponsor Forms (found on sidebar in the "Complete Program Packet")
- Copy of Baptismal Certificate [if not Baptized at St. George]
- Date of Baptism if Baptized at St. George. If date is unknown, please use the St. George Baptismal Certificate Request link.
Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis there will be no holding of spots. If the session you wanted is full when you try to register, please register for a different slot and indicate on the form that you would like to be on the waitlist for your preferred session. There is no guarantee of anyone on a waitlist being able to be added to their preferred session. -
Diocesan guidelines for Candidates of the Sacrament of Confirmation:
- Confirmation preparation is separate from and in addition to the catechesis offered in Catholic high schools and parish schools of religion. [if you have not been enrolled in our PSR program and do not attend a Catholic High School, please contact Mrs. Catherine about your religious education background.]
- Candidates are to be confirmed in their registered Church parish. If you are not a member of St. George you must contact Ms. Catherine and receive the proper permissions from both your parish and St. George.
- Candidates must have completed the first two Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism & Eucharist. [and must provide record of baptism & date of first communion]
Sponsor Requirements:
1. At least 16 years of age
2. Registered member of a Catholic Church parish
3. Not the parents, step-parent, or adoptive parent of the candidate
4. Not under any canonical impediment that would prevent serving as sponsor (such as a marriage outside of or otherwise not recognized by the Church)
5. Completed the Sacraments of Initiation [Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation] & fully accepts, believes, and lives out Catholic Church teaching.

PARENT PARTICIPATION
During this year of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, parents are invited and encouraged to share and support their candidate as they journey on their path to the Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Parents can participate as part of our Small Group & Retreat Teams, with varying levels of commitment
