Our program this year is introducing a platform for communiation & discussion (mainly for candidates & catechists) called Discord. This platform will give us a way to continue discussions outside of small group sessions on campus, let you (candidates) ask questions or talk about difficulties with your faith, provide a means of virtual meetings via voice calls or video chat if we can't meet in person, and the best part is that it's free, secure, and easy to use.
Candidates are required to make an account on discord.com and can then follow the link in the sidebar to join our server. Once you join our server I'll ask you to verify your identity by sending me your name, email, and a parent's email address. This helps me keep our server secure and safe. You can read more about Discord by going to our Youth Group page, or contact Miss Catherine with any issues.
During this year of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, parents are invited and encouraged to share and support their candidate as they journey on their path to the Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. If any parent is interested in volunteering in our program, please contact Miss Catherine! We'd love to have you participate.
If you are an adult (18 or older) and have never been confirmed, it is never too late. Contact Karen Fawley if you are interested in being part of this adult learning group so you can begin your confirmation journey.
